F\u00fcr mich als Leiter der Produktentwicklung hier bei Vectair war das Schl\u00fcsselwort w\u00e4hrend dieser Pandemie “Anpassung”. Meine Kollegen und ich mussten uns schneller als je zuvor an die sich st\u00e4ndig \u00e4ndernden Bed\u00fcrfnisse unserer Kunden anpassen. Wir bei Vectair sind bekannt f\u00fcr unsere Anpassungsf\u00e4higkeit, Innovation und unser vorausschauendes Denken, aber selbst wir wurden von COVID-19 \u00fcberrascht. Im M\u00e4rz und April kauften pl\u00f6tzlich viel weniger Menschen Lufterfrischer. Wenn Ihr weltweiter Verkaufsschlager ein Lufterfrischer ist, m\u00fcssen Sie sich vielleicht schnell anpassen. Zu unserem Gl\u00fcck sind wir f\u00fcr unsere Hygiene-Innovationen<\/a> ebenso bekannt wie f\u00fcr unsere bahnbrechenden Lufterfrischer. Die Nachfrage nach Handreinigern und H\u00e4ndedesinfektionsmitteln ist dramatisch gestiegen – und damit auch die M\u00f6glichkeiten, diese Produkte zu verteilen. Unser Produktentwicklungsteam hat sich daher auf die Entwicklung von Produkten konzentriert, die einen Mehrwert f\u00fcr unser bestehendes Angebot darstellen. <\/p>\n

Proaktive Produktentwicklung<\/h2>\n

W\u00e4hrend wir von zu Hause aus arbeiten, haben wir proaktiv nach M\u00f6glichkeiten gesucht, unser Sortiment an Hygieneprodukten zu verbessern. Wir haben sowohl f\u00fcr EMEA als auch f\u00fcr die USA Spenderst\u00e4nder eingef\u00fchrt und neue Instant-Handgels f\u00fcr den pers\u00f6nlichen und professionellen Gebrauch. Die Kommunikation innerhalb unseres Produktentwicklungsteams hat es uns erm\u00f6glicht, agil zu sein. Sie hat uns geholfen, neue Ideen, Pl\u00e4ne und Strategien f\u00fcr unsere Produkte zu entwickeln. Ein Hindernis, auf das wir gesto\u00dfen sind, ist die Verf\u00fcgbarkeit von Feedback. Wir lieben es, detailliertes und dennoch schnelles Feedback zu unseren Produkten zu erhalten, aber die Arbeit an entfernten Standorten hat diesen “Luxus” erschwert. Microsoft Teams hat diese Auswirkungen jedoch gemildert und wir konnten uns gut darauf einstellen – vielleicht sogar besser als vorher! <\/p>\n

\"Produktentwicklung<\/p>\n

Zusammen mit unserem Supply Chain Director, Keith Johnson, halten wir zweimal pro Woche Teambesprechungen ab, um die Arbeitsbelastung durchzugehen. Das Produktentwicklungsteam pr\u00fcft die Priorit\u00e4ten und tauscht regelm\u00e4\u00dfig neue Ideen aus. Manchmal ist das von zu Hause aus sogar einfacher als im B\u00fcro. Einige der normalen Prozesse wurden au\u00dfer Acht gelassen, um Produkte schneller auf den Markt zu bringen, aber das geschah absichtlich und war alles andere als sch\u00e4dlich. Ich w\u00fcrde gerne glauben, dass die Qualit\u00e4t unserer Produkte dadurch nicht beeintr\u00e4chtigt wurde – wir haben nur anders \u00fcber sie nachgedacht. Ich pers\u00f6nlich vermisse zwar den pers\u00f6nlichen Austausch mit dem Team, aber man lernt schnell, sich anzupassen. Wie Paul Wonnacott, der Gr\u00fcnder von Vectair, schon sagte: ” Passe dich an oder falle zur\u00fcck<\/a>“. COVID-19 hat uns als Produktentwicklungsabteilung klar gemacht, dass es immer bessere Wege gibt, Dinge zu entwerfen. Nur weil wir an den ‘normalen Weg’ gew\u00f6hnt sind, hei\u00dft das nicht, dass es keinen besseren Weg gibt. Die Pandemie hat dazu beigetragen, den Grundsatz zu festigen, dass an Ver\u00e4nderungen nichts auszusetzen ist. Ver\u00e4nderungen k\u00f6nnen sogar eine sehr positive Sache sein. <\/p>\n
